By Michelle Weinberger

Zoxing! In the event that you're keen on speed reading but feel as if you miss the boat because you forget most of the information you've speed read right after you've looked at it, you're not alone. Speed reading is literally programmed that way. Studying is notably the same merely worse. There's a process better however, it's referred to as subliminal photography and it's existed ever since the 1970s. It was started by Richard Welch, the pop of mental photography.

If you want to learn what's a lot better than speed reading pay attention: The moment you mentally photograph any topic you keep that knowledge for a lifetime. There is no forgetting simply because the facts you mentally photograph settles to your long lasting mind via your subconscious mind. Not only is mental photography much better than speed reading as far as retention, it's faster too.

Say you decided to speed read, it could potentially take you anywhere from nine to 25 mins to speed read a whole book because of all of the dipping and skimming involved. With mental photography it is going to take you just around 3 mins maximum. Whenever you can flip through a whole story in around 2 mins you can take in that information in two minutes. Mental, or subliminal photography, takes away sub vocalization completely. Which means that while your eyes travel through the pages, you aren't saying the words to yourself.

You don't have time for that at all! Because you aren't repeating the words to yourself means that you have no time at all to take them in on a conscious level. Basically, you aren't relying on your conscious mind to comprehend the data. Consequently, the whole thing sinks to your subconscious mind at the center of your long-term memory where you finally "get it".

You don't need to practice the traditional repetitious kind of study so that you can fully absorb a concept anymore. With mental photography you will understand without all of the rote work. This is so fun! Imagine knocking out those 6 chapters required for your calculus mid-term effortlessly, and actually comprehending everything? Or even studying for something as tantamount as the MCAT or GMAT?

Mental photography will no doubt change your entire life! With regard to academia it can take away a lot of the pressure. And it's all you and absolutely ethical. You're just applying a thing you were born with, to make it to where you would like to go in life. You were created with the capability to subliminally photograph, it's just how toddlers are able to speak and walk, however you forgot it soon after you were introduced to to read as your principal method of understanding.
