Enhance The Efficiency Of Your Dryers With Help Of Dryer Vent Cleaning Service Technicians

By Cathy Mercer

It is important that you regularly check and clean your drying machine. This is because with time, lint builds up in the machine causing obstruction of smooth flow of air and extraction of the debris from the dryer. A professional dryer vent cleaning service is required when cleaning your drying machine in order to avoid damages and prevent the health problems related to inhalation of the debris.

Because of the wear and use of textile or clothes, there is friction, which is created. As the body rubs the material, the fibers break loose. Similarly, as clothes rub against themselves when you are handling them, the abrasion creates loose fiber. When the clothes are being dried in dryers, the fibers are still rubbed against each other and to the walls of the drying compartment.

The process of lint build up takes time. As you continue drying your clothes, fine fiber particles are released together with the water being removed from the clothes. That lint then accumulates in crevices deep in filter traps and is passed through the dryer vent hoses. The buildup of lint in vents can cause many troubles including inefficiency of a machine. It may also induce heating on the dryer.

The ability of vents to flow air smoothly is determined by the design of hoses. In addition, the design also determines how lint accumulates. If your machine has more turns and elbows, it means that the debris may not flow easily. It gets trapped inside causing blockage of air channels.

Short dryer vents do not need as much cleaning as the long ones since they tend to hold less lint. With clogged vents, you may notice that the machine becomes hotter than normal. This is one thing that may trigger fire in your drying machine. However, this is not the only aspect that can trigger fire in dryers since other things like malfunctioned thermostats may also induce fires.

When these aspects are coupled with the lint inside vents, the chances of fire occurring are more. There are signs, which you need to check to determine if dangerous lint has build up in your machine vents. If you notice that the clothes you are drying are taking longer to dry, probably there is no enough circulation of air through the vent.

As lint accumulates, there is impaired circulation of air inside vents. Clothes may not dry properly because the vents are plugged and air does not flow smoothly. In addition, your clothes may feel hot when you finish drying. This could mean that the inside chamber of your dyer is hotter. If the vent flapper cannot open properly because of lint deposits, the exhaust velocity is reduced.

Vent flappers that are not opening properly due to lint may cause reduced exhaust velocity. Another sign that high deposits of lint may be present in vents is when the laundry room is more humid. The impaired airflow causes the dampness. Moreover, you may smell a burning odor in the laundry room. Any presence of such signs should be treated with urgency and you need to contact a dryer vent cleaning service to work on your machine.
